The Nepean Medical Association proudly hosts the annual Welcome Dinner for the students of the University of Sydney, Nepean Campus. All members of the NMA are welcome to attend. The dinner is sponsored by the NMA, and Bongiorno’s, medical accountants.

The evening is jointly sponsored by the Nepean Medical Association and the Nepean Clinical School.
Although not essential, we do encourage everyone to be members of the NMA.
Events for 2021:
On Friday March 12 we held a student welcome dinner at El-Phoenician Restaurant in Parramatta. This year’s dinner was smaller than our usual dinner but was just as successful. We were able to welcome the new students to our Nepean family while enjoying a delicious meal and fun with the obligatory belly dancing.

The 11th annual Welcome Dinner for 2020 will be held on Friday 20th March, 2020 at El Phoenician Restaurant in Parramatta
Events for 2019:
The welcome dinner for 2019 was held on Friday 30 March at El Phoenician Restaurant in Parramatta. Our speaker Associate Professor Stephen Fuller Consultant Haematologist entertained everyone with his account of his 3rd cranial nerve palsy from which he fortunately completely recovered.

Events for 2018:
The welcome dinner for 2018 was held on Friday 23rd March at El Phoenician Restaurant in Parramatta and our speaker was Associate Professor Stephen Fuller Consultant Haematologist.
Events for 2017:
- On Sunday 5th November 2017 we attended the Australian Doctor Orchestra Concert at Chatswood. The orchestra was celebrating 25 years and performed Bolero, conducted by Nicholas Milton and featuring guitarist Slava Grigoryan. All proceeds went to Huntington’s New South Wales.
- Our welcome dinner for new medical students was held on Friday 31st March 2017 and our guest speaker was Dr Sol Qurashi, Orthopaedic Surgeon.
- The NSW Doctors Orchestra Concert and lunch Sunday 19th March. Conductor Dr David Banney, From Russia with Love, Khachaturian Violin Concerto Soloist: Susan Collins, Tchaikovsky Symphony No. 5.
Proceeds from the concert were donated to the Penrith based charity Freedom Across Australia.

- Annual Mentor Mentee Dinner was held on Friday 18th March 2016 at El Phoenician Restaurant and our speaker was Stephen Milgate.
- NSW Doctor Orchestra Concert and luncheon was held on Sunday 15th May 2016 at the Chatswood Concourse Concert Hall.

- Annual Mentor Mentee Dinner was held on Friday 20th March 2015 at El Phoenician Restaurant in Parramatta and our speaker was Professor Michael Peek.
- NSW Doctor Orchestra Concert and luncheon was held on Sunday 24th May 2015 at the Chatswood Concourse Concert Hall. This years concert was Dvorak’s Cello Concerto with David Pereira.
Previous speakers have included: Dr Paul Lancaster, Dr Michael Barratt and Professor Mohamed Khadra.
