This year is the 25th anniversary of our annual dinner, which will be held on Saturday August 30 at the Waterfront Restaurant at The Rocks; 6.30 for 7pm. Our speaker
will by Jana Pittman – summer and winter Olympian. Please join your colleagues for an enjoyable and relaxing night. Our students Toby Hulf and Alana Kearsley will give
presentations on their overseas electives. Both Toby and Alana were recipients of last

We have completed 3 of our GP training nights, which have been well attended again this year. Further nights are planned for Thursday 14th August – Radiology with Nepean Radiology, Thursday 18th September 9 (topic TBA) and Thursday 23rd October – CPR training. For more details see our website.
Come and join your colleagues for a fun and interactive evening for GPs and specialists on Thursday 6th November 2014. The topic will be ‘Communication – what do specialists want from GP referral letters and what do GPs want from specialist letters?’ The venue will be the Ming Restaurant, Penrith Panthers. Invitations will be sent out closer to the event.
We have been having a few issues with our membership module on our website so please accept our apology if you have been having issues renewing your

Memberships are now due for 2014 and fees remain at $90 till June 2015 and $180 untill June 2016 for all GPs and specialists. Junior doctor fees remain at $50 for 3

Our careers night for junior doctors and medical students was held on Thursday 22nd May 2014 at Penrith Panthers. This years speakers included representatives from
surgery, medicine, psychiatry, O&G, radiology and general practice. The evening was sponsored by Nepean Radiology. For information about future events please contact Dr Mark Chemali: mche3768@uni.sydney.edu.au.
Currently in its 4th year our mentor scheme now has 14 mentors and 52 mentees. Our annual dinner was held on Friday 28th March 2014 at the El Phoenician Restaurant at Parramatta when we were entertained by our guest speaker Professor John Cartmill. We also attended the NSW Doctor Orchestra Concert on Sunday 25th May.
This year 8 scholarships have been awarded to students who went to electives in under privileged areas. Each student has written about their experience and these
will be available shortly on our website, along with photos.
